Considering this driver doesn't work at all on my Dell Vostro 1000 with a Sigmatel chipset, there's no reason to bite my tongue on this now. Considering I'm convinced that there is a solution to your technical problem and considering that even if it worked for you from the beginning, you still should not feel compelled to bite your tongue.... As far as civil liberties are concerned, I will absolutely defend your right to call me insecure in this forum, even though I'm not quite convinced I'm prepared to die for it -> which in turn may be due to the insecurity you caught me to be in possession of: You have to be really insecure to throw your political opinions in a freakin' audio utility. Granted you're preaching to an orwellian choir and nobody's ever going to really take you to task over it. If I want to be told how to think I'll listen to the Republicans. Don't be like them. There's more than one point to that. First, I'm not exactly interested in the internals of the United States of America. For me, there's more than "The Republicans" and "The Democrats", because that is _your_ business and _your_ business alone. It is the impact to the rest of the world that I'm interested in. Besides, 2*U being a convenient target,... I admit to it, guilty as charged ;-) ASIO4ALL was developed at a time, when the worst about Iraq could still have been prevented. Or not. At least, I tried. Personally, I stand for human rights and civil liberties as _part_ of the above. That's where you can count me in if push comes to shove. So what we end up with is this: Should an arbitrary piece of creativity, like - a painting, - a photograph, - a novel, - a software be apolitical because somehow "it has to be this way?" I would be arguing differently if I were to depend on anyone _buying_ this software. Still, I appreciate your input, because I'm also a "freedom of speech" guy and I do not feel that you should have held back your opinion just because ASIO4ALL would have worked for you.

this thread is nonsense. the political visual entendres within the interface are part of what gives the driver its back to basics designed by a guy in a back room for guys in back rooms feel.
at no point should a "designer" be hired to do anything to the interface as it performs perfectly well just now and making it more aesthetically interesting will not add to its performance in any way.
as to being offended by an image of your own country...
...if you can't take the heat, you know where the dining room is.

Mt
I installed your program only to find the insult to the American president George Bush (I did not laugh one bit!)under the "simple" button. I immediately uninstalled it. Is this your subtle way of pushing socialism on the world or what? ASIO for All? Well I will not be preached politics by a stupid app! I will either go back to an inferior version of the app or I will simply install XP and be done with it. Look who is simple minded now? I will not support your program which otherwise (before insulting a great American president) had a good thing going for it! I will also be complaining about your app to Microsoft and anyone else who will listen. There are plenty of unbiased political people who can take of your job and not use their position to cram political agendas into the faces of unsuspecting people who just want to make music. I'd rater be simple minded. Thanks, but no thanks!

Although immediately uninstalling American presidents has worked in the past, I'd always suggest the more moderate route of voting them out of office instead.

I'm constantly amazed at how much energy people expend complaining about completely pointless things. Read this post I am currently writing for a great example.
