oh it will work for A LITTLE while. Trust me I've tried every setting in ASIO4ALL, it solves it for a while, then have to reset the settings again. Michael T., any word on this yet?

i had this problem on and off for some time. My laptop is 7 years old running xp sp 3. I went into options>audio settings and noticed that every time the sound "crackled" or popped the underruns number would increase. i altered the buffer length but to no avail. Then i remembered that the last time i ran FL i exported a a file with very high and specific settings. i had my interpolation set to Sinc Depth 256. I turned off hardware buffering and in the interpolation section changed it back to linear. Worked perfectly. Hope this helps!

This isn't an ASIO issue. I don't know what causes the problem, but I get it too. I'm using a 1/4 inch to USB guitar chord, and I was getting the crackling before I even installed ASIO on both Amplitube and Guitar Rig 3. The crackling shows up, bothers me for about 5 minutes, then goes away. Then it shows up again 5-10 minutes later. Nothing I've done has fixed it, whether it's changing ASIO settings or my sound settings in windows. It's horrible and needs to be fixed. Wait how can you say its not an ASIO issure yet then state you do not know what causes it? sounds to me like you don't know what your talking about! it IS and ASIO problem because it still happens to me and my friend and is only solved when i reset the ASIO driver.
