I tried rogers solution but it didnt work for me for Windows 7 but I did find a way for me to make it work I found a way to disable MS GS Wavetable synth by disabling "windows audio" in the service manager in Windows 7, I dont know if its the same in Vista or xp. Right click my computer go to manage, then go to service at the bottom of the menu tree, on the right scroll down to windows audio and stop the service, it will disable all windows sounds and you will not hear anything with it. But now, you can use asio4all without complications. I'm using Win7 64bits. This solution worked for me!!. Thank you.

Thank you so much! I have been dealing with audio interface issues ever since I got this new build, and it's been really frustrating. My main problem was cross talk between GS Wavetable and Realtek Audio High Definition Bullsh**. Again, thanks!

Alright guys, seems like I am quite close to this. I tried each solutions mentioned above as far as I can recall I have disabled my realteak HD and primary sound card from Device Manager itself leaving just 2 options Ws Audio and Rocksmith usb enabled (if i disable these two then it wont show up in asio and ampitube asks for output interface constantly. finally the red cross is gone from Ws Audio 'in'option after doing that. I have unchecked last two options from advance option, both in playback and recording tab. and now it seems to me the problem is line wsaudio 'in' cuz its not detecting any sound in the detector thingy on the right of the option 'Line' (ws audio). i.imgur.com/zeHmZRD.jpgPlease help me, been trying to figure it out since ages. i am using Asio4all v2.11 beta1. THANKS A LOT in advance.

Also guys make sure if you want to be able to actually hear stuff to enable ONLY the portion of playback speakers AND NOT your HD Audio microphone seeing as how if you also enable the HD audio Microphone you will be using two ports.

I too have been suffering from this issue. It could be a web cam running in the background, so check all your startup items in 'msconfig' .But as a temp measure, I made two batch files to stop and start the services. I run one bat file before I run my DAW and when I quit that, I run the other to restart the services. works fine so far. instructions below if anyone want s to try this. open notepad and type the following @echo off net stop audiosrv net stop audioendpointbuilder exit ok now save it as DAWon.bat or whatever name you want and to the desktop, I chose this file name as I want the sound services off so I can run my DAW without issue, so my DAW is ON. now open up notepad again and type this @echo off net start audiosrv net start audioendpointbuilder exit Now save this as DAWoff.bat This will start the services back up so you can youtube or listen to music again. If you experience any issues, just remove the exit from the bat file and re save it. Remember, don't thank me, thank the INTERNET !!!!

However, it completly disable the audio like Itunes or whatnot.. it's kind of a pain in the ass to go back there in service and restart the service and vice versa. Lets say you do that operation 4-5 times a day, it gets annoying. Does nyone have a solution for this ? Thanks!
