Hellow.
Yesterday i just install newest driver OEM x-fi for my usb surround 5.1
with asio v9 or asio v10 the result is geting worst
Hars and distortion appears everywhere in same composition music song i create.
TOday i uninstal all driver OEM and use usb driver microsoft only detected none OEM eax bla bla bla
in V9 there a yellow flag said my driver older or newest and computer hate me LOL
then i upgrade into V10 it work well , i dont see any Flag anymore
But then i think i got a point of concept of asio , just use basic driver based on hardware and then asio handle all,
Just little bit wonder about 48khz out and 48-96khz in menu
and how to adjust it or maybe the truth/reality how high the hardware i used can be done but its okey, i already have fun with this setup, just hoping maybe can have a little bit higher depths and khz. and can get it without eating too much CPU .
I dont know why in some forum of this card said 96khz or maybe DTS sound just sending into optic line , or in other word they dont like the card sound at that high or maybe the hardware are really not capable to do that im not really sure hehehe
NICE work
cheers . i luv asio
PS : in OEM driver i see some look like asio DLL typical something but not sure wat it doing there how it connetivitiy into console , becuz i know the card i got they didnt want give asio console or music creation or wat the heck hehehe...

Hellow. I ve just testing record from mic input at reaper, the files is mono. The sound can be heard at my headphone left and right. Then i render it as mono, when i play at Soundforges the mono files sound in mono but in stereo mode, which mean i hear at left of my headphone. But if i render it into stereo then play at soundforge, the sound can be heard normal left and right. Well i dont know is that a bug or not . I just posting it. Cheers.

Just a thought- had a similar problem recently and discovered that ASIO4ALL won’t work (and if memory serves, didn't even show up, like you say) in Reaper if the Microsoft GS Wavetable synth is enabled. Disable it by:
PREFS (CTRL/P) DEVICE AUDIO SYSTEM WAVE OUT MIDI DEVICES disable the synth here, from memory by right clicking.
Any good?
