Anyone have a suggestion on this? Sorry if its an old, hashed-out topic that I missed.
Protools doesn't like Presonus - they want everyone to buy M-Audio/Avid stuff
Protools wont work in milliseconds, only samples/sec. The Presonus only operates in milliseconds. So 512 samples is actually like 11...... milliseconds. In Protools, ASIO4ALL allows minimal usage of my 8 channels, only 1 and 2 work; most the time it crashes.
Is it possible to add a converter in the ASIO4ALL driver that does that simple calculation from milliseconds to samples/sec so that Protools will play nice with my hardware??
BTW ASIO4all has been saving my ass for a while now. Thanks Guys!! This would be HUGE for a lot of folks out there that have multiple Friepods, FP10s, Firestudios, even the 2626s are reporting driver issues. My buddy has a mobile rig with 4 of those units - replacement in a modern unit that works with PT, with the same number of channels would be like $2K Yikes!
Thanks for any help that's out there
Peace Steve
