me again. little mistake in my decription. here's the right one: go right down on your desktop - right click on speaker ikon to the "record device" left click. in the opened window klick RIGHT on device and DEACTIVATE this!

He's right, tho the english is bad -- right-click on the speaker icon, open up PLAYBACK DEVICES (not RECORDING DEVICES) and DISABLE the speakers -- then go to the ASIO4ALL panel, disable then re-enable Realtek HD Audio Output and the red x should go away, and you should be able to hear sound now.

Now we all understand why the Apple stuff is the preferred choice. I like you all cannot afford an Apple stuff either.

Are people really still having trouble with this? Go into the task manager and end any tasks regarding audio and next boot up your recording software. This should take care of it. It did for me.

I had the same problem. Re-install and click the "rewushal" box to install as well. worked for me.

I just fixed mine. I went into playback devices and disabled my Realtek HD default communication device. I believe its called Realtek HD Digital Output. Once I disabled it by right clicking and selecting "Properties" and then disable. Asio4All recognized my speakers output and all was good. Hope this helped. I was having this problem with Traktor Pro I do not know if it will fix any other programs but it should since the problem is with the computer's general audio not the program.

hi i was facing with same problems in my sony vaio nb, in the asio control panel o/p was not available and i had to use directx for audio.. and solved it by increasing the sample rate to the highest available in the realtek hd control panel for both speakers and mic. hope this does help you too. cheers I've found this OLD thread, having tried (for the first time) to setup ASIO with DAWs and VST Host tools (Mixcraft, Cantabile Performer etc). I've read many proposals, for fixing various problems, and I think this thread is detailing issues that folks are having with Realtek HD. Haven't reached the end yet, quoted this to ask what o/p meant, then realised it meant output! Ok, some images to elaborate my problem. Dell XPS L402x running Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) - not certain what ASIO I have(32/64 - is there a way to confirm?) Tried on my bro's sys (also 64-bit, maybe different soundcard) and it worked, as expected. Install ASIO, load mixcraft, select ASIO, configure I/O 'devices'. My setup is different. First, the direct setup (that works, albeit with terrible latency) When trying to use ASIO, however, the Speakers Playback Device (Output) is not available. It seems to recognise the HD options, and correctly identifies that nothing's plugged in (I don't have any HD-kit ... yet Now I'm not certain, but I think that, whilst following the recommendations to change the playback device's properties to 16 bit, the Default Recording Device changed from 'Not connected' (like playback, see above) to 'HD Stereo-in 1/2' ... weird, huh? Any suggestions more than welcome! Thank you

I had the same problem, and after messing arround I found the solution : 1.Seperate all the input and output channels in the Realtek manager (Advanced devicesettings or something like this ) 2.Open up GuitarRig 3.Open the asio2all controllpanel from inside of GR 4.Expand the "Realtek HD Audio" tree and activate the "Microphone ( pink ) front" and deaktivate the digital input just to be sure after that, go to guitarrig and change input 1/2 to microphone pink front 1/2 works fine for me with linein too ( got the GIGABYTE realtek driver that should be something arround 1.86) Hi! What does 'separate all I/O channels' entail? I've disabled exclusive mode on all devices, I only have a laptop with VSTs. I'd like to use these with ASIO, and Coolwave Synth (instead of the Micro$hit WaveTable Synth), if possible. Thanks!
