Why don't you care with harmful things instead? This is ridiculous. Fortunaly there's still freedom of speech in some parts of the globe.

Why don't you care with harmful things instead? This is ridiculous. Fortunaly there's still freedom of speech in some parts of the globe. "Freedom of speech" is one of the most overused phrases. Am I free to be racist, incite violence against others, and encourage another's death? Maybe nothing offends you but only the unwise lack empathy for another. In fact we are all born to be selfish, we have consideration for only ourselves from birth. It is with age and wisdom that empathy and compassion comes and becomes a part of second-nature.

Does Gonzalo have a different response. I've read 2 threads and seen the same language both times. Let's all be civil here !!

Hello, well first of all thank you for this great program, but it will be better if u don't involve politics in it, and just remove the picture of my country in it.... your response will be appreciated If that should still require a response from me, here it is: At no time, I ever meant insult the people of Iraq - as far as the depiction of the shape of your country in the "Exit" button of the current ASIO4ALL. Should I have done so without knowing, I would ask you to elaborate! As far as leaving politics out of the equation in general: Well, ASIO4ALL is a one man show and the interface is a reflection on how I think and I get a lot more flak re yours truly suggesting that GWB was a sub-prime intellectual. The mere fact that the real world appears to actually exist keeps me away from pretending it does not.

Apart from the pictures which I think are funny, I do think you should take on a designer for the interface.. Than the driver will be really really cool. Anyway, nice work, great driver.

It seems to me that the implication being made by the use of a visual representation of Iraq for the exit button is actually making no statement for or against Iraq, but rather against the current US administration, i.e., exit Iraq, stop meddling.

Who cares about the design and pictures really (although the firt time I saw it the Einstein/Bush thing made me quite laugh ;D )! This is a great piece of software letting all of us poor musicians get some decent sounds of our crappy-cheep-integrated-windowsy soundcards... and even more admirable basically being a "one-man" project (and he doesn't even beg for the donation!) So keep up the well done coding ... so, what are you doing here reading the forums, get back to that debugging session now we're waiting for version 3!! Lo

Considering this driver doesn't work at all on my Dell Vostro 1000 with a Sigmatel chipset, there's no reason to bite my tongue on this now. You have to be really insecure to throw your political opinions in a freakin' audio utility. Granted you're preaching to an orwellian choir and nobody's ever going to really take you to task over it. If I want to be told how to think I'll listen to the Republicans. Don't be like them.

Cant see the logic behind people's offense over this..its harmless and its his program so he can do as he wants with the interface, if you dont like it dont use it..
