rob, Well, in my case I use Windows 8 Pro x64 and you may have heard about its effeciency in terms of latency. Small example: I use a brand new laptop (i7, 8GB RAM, HDD 7200rpm), my MediaMonkey is playing some music, a torrent is downloading and I am browsing or writing a word doc. Sounds good so far, but after a while, my audio will start clicking a poping pretty bad (it's quite random, but can be triggered by a file copy or launching a big program or if you switch between full screen and window while watching a movie or even scroll to much in Firefox). It's just horrible... 2 solutions: turn off the WiFi or reboot the laptop. You must thinking it's a driver problem like me, so I used Windows AIK to measure performance and see what's happening. I did hundreds of tests, tried a lot different drivers... Then if you start reading with my friend google, you can find out that a lot of users have the problem and they all tend to accuse Microsoft as Windows 7 didn't have this problem (look at "dpc latency windows 8") So I am interested in running with ASIO4ALL and use it with my MediaMonkey along with my professional audio mixing software. Unfortunately, I can't do it, becauue it's not working for me either. No control panel, no taskbar icon, it does not appear in foobar, MediMonkey, ProTools, even if I put the dll in their respective folders. It will be nice to have some feedback from a developper or technician please. It will be very appreciated.

Why does the manual use Winamp as an example if it is useless to use asio with winamp? Get your shit together. Same problem here, btw.

Still no change with last beta. In the meantime, I formatted my computer and reinstalled everything. michael: Could you please tell us if you're aware of that problem and if there's any fix coming up? Thanks in advance

This thread helped me to get the drivers working on Winamp. Short recap for the lazy. (I'm on Windows 7 x64, Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic) 1. Run the asio4all installer 2. Install the asio winamp plugin www.winamp.com/plugin/asio-output-plugin/1564663. Configure the asio winamp plugin to use the ASIO4ALL library which you installed earlier: 3.1. In Winamp go to "Preferences>Plug-ins>Output", select the ASIO Output Plugin, click 'Configure'. 3.2. A window should pop up i.imgur.com/0wqu1Io.png, select ASIO4ALL v2. 3.3. Close it and restart Winamp. 4. You should see the tray icon. Click it to make sure it uses your PCI card instead of on-board(in my case, Creative SB X-Fi). NB. If you're still not hearing sound then check the advanced options in the ASIO4ALL interface. The "Out" interface may be disabled. In that case try closing Winamp and wait a minute until restarting.
