Dear Anyone.
I'm a music writer, but sometimes I like to be able to listen to a piece of music while I'm writing, not to 'copy' it as such, but just to hear how the composer 'does things'. It's like looking at reference when you're painting. Thing is, A4A seems to stop all players from working.
Is it possible to set up ANY MP3 player, like VLC or WMP or any other one, so I can hear sounds from it AND sounds from my program which is using ASIO4ALL? Using headphones would do, at a pinch.
Yours respectfully

There is a way to do this. The thing is that Asio4all reserves the sound output device for itself, and itself only. I make music in FL Studio 9, and there is an option in there to close audio device when not using it. So in other words, when the FL Studio window looses focus, when I open vlc, it closes asio, freeing up the card for other programs Hope this helps, and good luck. Linux is still the best, but My favorite audio programs are all for windows, so Im stuck with MS
