After downloading ASIO4ALL and experimenting with this multi client audio driver. Happy to say A4All bridges a huge river of restrictions.
Eg I was trying to Re-amp a direct guitar track in Nuendo (RMEHDSP main client) while using the BOSS GT-10 floorpedal, USB port & driver. I inserted Nuendo's 'GT10 external gear' insert plugin on the track in Nuendo Neundo picked up the GT10 hardware within the Studio Manager area. With my single client RME ASIO driver, bussing was restricted to RME outs only, not fully ideal
With the A4All multi client buss activations, it allowed me to use the secondary GT10 driver along side various selections from the RMEHDSP main client.
All this while tweaking amp/FX combinations & sound possibilities.
Nothing really new re-amping with digital amp modeler plugins, Amplitube, Guitar RIg, etc; but with different external plugin port access? nice. . . it's a natural bussing concept and kinda cool. Nuendo always had this capabilty with only one card and driver, more outboard hardware DA was needed so why not a familiar dedicated hardware box like the GT10?
The ASIO4All utilizing the different outs and the external feature is bonus. The fact that a second available client could be manipultaed functional was long time coming for my re-amping needs. Seemed to lock to RME HDSP9652 Adat 1/2 so that's also needed.
Next up, to try to record with Multi-client ports from A4All

Thank you for sharing your experience.
I have tried the same in Cakewalk Sonar with the RME FF400 and the Axe-FX II, but I still can not select the Axe-FX II In/Out drivers, only the RME.
I will keep experimenting with it
