I'm using the Creative X-Fi and it keeps telling me "Beyond Logic" for the output.

I got it to work but it's all static-ey. I messed around with the sampling and stuff and it's still the same.

i believe someone already mentioned it earlier, but i'm also using the Alesis Photon x25 and performance is much better with ASIO4ALL than the awful alesis ASIO drivers. 1.4ghz amd, 768 ram, and i'm getting very low latency (around 10ms at 256 buffer size) with the 2.8 beta.
it took some doing to get the alesis drivers fully removed, they left a ton of garbage in the registry that caused a crash every time i tried to select ASIO as the audio driver. once i was able to get rid of all traces of the alesis driver ASIO4ALL worked perfectly for me.
thanks for a great product! it's really made all the difference in my small studio.
the only issue i've been having is i do get a beyond logic error if i have more than one audio app at a time open, say if ableton live is running and something like itunes is launched. all the audio out is stopped and the settings show 'beyond logic.' usually quitting all the apps and relaunching just the one i need fixes this.

The Lexicon USB interfaces work great with ASIO4all
Alpha 2 in/2 out Lambda 2 in/2 out w/ 2 mic pres Omega 4 in/2 out w/ 2 better mic pres
You can also use ASIO4ALL to combine more than one of these units for extra I/O.

M-Audio Conectiv on my side, got it working but i still need to find the right settings (latency compensation / buffer). At the M-Audio control panel 256MS is selected, can somebody please tell me the settings for Asio4All ?
Would be real nice cause i think Asio4All is a lot better than the M-Audio driver...
TIA!

I can't get ASIO4ALL to work with my digidesign mbox 2 - I want to be able to use it along with the internal sound card in my laptop with ableton live. Any suggestions?

Most USB soundcards come with their own ASIO driver. If they do, it is probably better to use that, than to use ASIO4ALL.
Some of the very cheap USB soundcards might not come with an ASIO driver, and for those, ASIO4ALL might be a good idea. Or, if one is using the Windows generic USB audio driver, instead of the drivers that came with the soundcard, ASIO4ALL would be the only way to have ASIO.
I see in this thread, however, people reporting that units like those made by Digidesign, Lexicon, and Toneport, E-Mu, Edirol, M-Audio, Tascam, Ego-Sys, and Alesis, work with ASIO4ALL. They may well do so, but I don't see the point, as I'm sure those professional audio interfaces come with their own ASIO driver, better suited to those units.
I guess it depends on which USB soundcard you are using, and whether it comes with its own ASIO driver.

0404 usb doing fine here with asio4all. But, my question is------why? ? I have the 0404 USB. It comes with its own ASIO driver (as do all E-Mu products), and it works fine with that. Why would you use ASIO4ALL, a generic driver, with it instead?

I can think of two reasons to use ASIO4ALL even if there is an existing ASIO driver from the manufacturer.
1) You want to use more than one device at the same time
2) The original driver doesn't work (that is my case with PODxt, Toneport and Vista).

This is apparently not supported.
Todays is Jan 05, 2008 and there hasn't been a version update since April 2007 ? Has developement ceased ?

Hi, Lexicon Alpha with standard ASIO driver works only on WinXP. Is it posible to fully run Lexicon Alpha on w2k with ASIO4all? Is there any other solution to use Lexicon Alpha under w2k and Steinbergs products?
Thanks for any advice!
Martin
