I never seem to be able to afford a pro quality sound card, so your driver has been a godsend to me (or should I say Micahel send). Quite honestly, I probably would not be making music without your drivers.. I have been using it on this HP ze4700 (amd2600+ / 512m / built in ali soundchip) / on my old HP xe3l (933mhz 256m / whatever built in chipset it had).. To me - the real time feedback is always pretty important when making music.. The older versions of asio4all seemed to lose the timing lock after a while of recording (I compensated by recording in small bits). But in the new versions that feature seems to have dissappeared. Thank you! Merry Christmas and happy new year! Antti You can find my music from: www.soundclick.com/bands/6/northwestmusic.htm

Hello Antti,
The audio engine in 2.2 guarantees that no input buffers are lost. If this should happen, overload is signalled and the audio engine is being restarted. In addition, the average buffer size at which recording would still be possible should be lower in 2.2 than in 1.8. This is one major difference in the audio handling between 1.8 and 2.2 and makes 2.2 much more usable for recording and real time end-to-end processing. The downside is that I need to keep telling people to disable inputs when comparing output-only performance against 1.8 (which should be about the same with hardware buffer disabled).
