Hello,
I didn't know where to put such topic because there is no forum section devoted to submition of the proposed extentions or user wishes :-), which may be important for some reasons to make the software even more popular.
Please find my proposal below.
After you install ASIO4ALL you might want to go to Windows Control Panel and then click Add/Remove Sotware to see the list of installed software.
ASIO4ALL is on the list too, but when you click on it you have no "Click here to get the technical support" link like most of other programs have.
This is of course a very cosmethic thing, but for other programs you may see:
- what is the current version of the application
- the vendor name
- where to go for updates
- what is the URL to the web page where you can get support (like this forum).
My proposal is to add this description link to ASIO4ALL. A good example of how this should like like is Adobe Reader 7.0.9 or Sun JRE - all the descriptions are there.
One more things -- out of topic: I must say the software is of a very good quality, very stable and I like it. I am not a person who wants to criticize, but the only thing which I personally don't like is the design of the user interface - the ASIO4ALL setup panel, which is by no means standard . Maybe it wasn't designed to conform to standards and the current look and feel was done in purpose? Who knows ? I don't think skins would solve the problem and whether they are needed, but I would make the panel to look more standard... You know what I mean - George Bush, and the sign next to beyond logic e.g. :-D ... ASIO4ALL setup panel is very often called from within other serious applicatons like Cubase, Sonar, Native Intruments and to me it looks very odd. That's why I would like it to look more, let's say, "professional".
Best regards to all users and ASIO4ALL developers. This is really great piece of software!!
