I'm so estatic I thought I'd start a new thread just for the emphasis... You have made my day!!! After 4 months and several hundred hours of recording on an interface that kept crashing and burning I spent all of today smiling because I was using ASIO4ALL with nary a problem...Yeah!!!!!
I don't know why a big company like Tascam can put out a product ( US-1641 ) with such terrible drivers! I was about to put it on eBay when somebody mentioned ASIO4ALL. I was pretty skeptical but I am amazed!
I use Sonar 7 and everytime I would hit record the audio would dropout. Now everytime I've hit record today it... records!!! CPU load has decreased also!
There are a couple of things, but nothing as major as the problems I was having. I'm still messing around with the playback settings because every once in a while I'll get some clicks and pops (even though the CPU meter stays low) and Sonar did close once on me today. While I'm recording ( 8 channels simultaneously ) there hasn't been a single problem.
I think you should contact Tascam to see if they would bundle your program with this interface. It would sure save a lot of people some headaches because this software works MUCH better than theirs!!
