I used the new ASIO4ALL version (2.2) with Arturia Standalone Player (the synth host) on a Soundmax 4 version 5.12.1.3713 WDM driver. It still gives errors. But I suspect also the Arturia code not being perfect... They currently have a big bug: the synth (Minimoog, CS-80V, Modular) is not working with other hosts like Sonar unless the Regional Settings are configured with "." as the decimal separator. However, Arturia Standalone Player works OK with the WDM interface.

I have tested this with SoundMax and the Minimoog V demo and the only issue I encountered is that the standalone player does not react to changes you make in the ASIO control panel until you restart the player. Other issues I have not seen. What errors do you get?

Hi, Michael. The main issue is: no sound. But, as I told you, I suspect also some bugs in the Arturia software so I will test with English Regional settings and let you know. I will describe the behaviour as detailed as possible. Please stay tuned.

OK, I will try to describe what's happening.
First of all, my ASIO Setting is like this: ASIO Buffer Size = 128 Samples Latency Compensation = 0 Samples, Both In and Out Use Hardware Buffer checked Buffer Offset: 2 ms
Remember that I use a SoundMAX 4 device with 3 stereo outputs (5.1). The driver version is 5.12.1.3713 provided by Intel.
I've set my Regional Settings to English (US) in order to avoid the "." vs "," bug within Arturia softsynths.
Now I start CS-80V ver. 1.2. The standalone player says: Improper shutdown detected! Audio disabled! Please check the ASIO4ALL control panel! I press OK and the application starts. I try to press some keys, nothing is heard (of course, because the audio is disabled...). I enter into File/preferences and invoke the Control Panel of ASIO4ALL. I see here that the SoundMAX Intergrated Digital Audio is Available, but not Running. I close the panel (by the Windows X button because I have no Exit like in Simple Mode) then I press OK. Now I exit and restart the CS-80V. I'm not obtaining the "Improper Shutdown" error so I think the interface is Available and enabled. I try to play something but nothing is heard... So I try to enter again in the audio configuration dialog. I launch the Asio control panel and I see everything OK. But when I press the magical X button to close the control panel, the application freezes. Just like that. I can only stop it by forcing it to close because the program is not responding. So I press End Now and I'm starting from the begining with the same "Improper shutdown detected! Audio disabled! Please check the ASIO4ALL control panel!" message. I forgot to mention a little detail: I used 48000 as the sample rate. So it looks like a neverending loop.
I know that when I'm using DirectX in audio configuration it's working without problems. But I saw that in DirectX mode, the only sample rate available is 44100. So I tried again in Asio mode but now I chose 44100 instead 48000. And surprise, it worked. This was the cause, but I think that it's not ASIO4ALL's fault.
And please note that the Arturia DXi synths are working in Sonar 4 at 48000 sample rate with the ASIO4ALL interface! So the problem seems to be in the Arturia Standalone Player.
