ASIO4ALL 2.2 Doesn't Work with Tascam US-224

Hi,

I have a Tascam US-224 running on Windows 2000 with Tascam's 3.24 driver. I am trying to use ASIO4ALL 2.2 with Sony Vegas 5.0b.

I have found that the 1.x version of ASIO4ALL works great for playback in Vegas ( although I've never been able to get recording to work ).

With ASIO4ALL 2.2 I am unable to even get playback working. I fiddled around with many different settings for over an hour and no matter what I tried, Vegas always labelled the outputs as "Not connected".

I was hoping that I would now be able to record with the new version of ASIO4ALL, yet this version is worse as I am unable even to play.

I have checked that all the inputs and output were enabled in the "Advanced" mode, and I have tried all permutations of settings.

I'm interested in knowing if anyone is experiencing a similar problem or has a solution.

im having similar problems with a similar set up. i have a tascam us-122 with xp and cubase sx 2.2. ive enabled the ins and outs and they are active but its still showing up in cubase as "not connected". i can monitor and record but no playback. weird.
