Hi all,
I'm using ASIO4ALL to be able to monitor my audio input while recording.
PC: AMD Phenom II X3 / 4GB / Windows 7 RC x64 IN: Samson C03U USB microphone OUT: Creative X-FI Gamer Sequencer: Ableton Live 8 Audio frequency: 48kHz (native sampling frequency of the mic)
I enable hardware buffering for both devices and set the samples for both to 64.
I then select live monitoring in Ableton Live (from AUTO to IN) and I have a very low latency that very suited for live monitoring but as time goes by latency is increasing until it isn't suited for monitoring anymore.
Other people also experiencing similar behavior and any suggestions in fixing this?
When I click on the slider in the ASIO4ALL dialog then the latency is gone and slowly builds up again.
I disabled any effect VST's that could increase the delay/latency.

I'm having the same problem with the Samson C03U under windows 7 64-bit. After a system uptime of around 12 hours this device driver starts to cause latency problems - I've managed to prove this to myself with the DPC Latency checker (V1.2.0). Unplugging the microphone stops the high latency bursts.
The main problem is that over time this driver makes the machine unusable. Mouse inputs become unresponsive or incredibly laggy, audio becomes choppy and unlistenable, video streams drop out, and flash crashes when running in full screen mode (no more full screen youtube for me)
PC: i7-920 / 12Gb / Windows 7 x64 Dual (ATI 4850 - 1Gb ) - Crossfire not enabled. Creative X-fi Raid 0 - ST3750640 - Barricuda 7200.10
It looks like samson needs to rewrite the driver for windows 7

Has anyone found a fix for this...I use Ableton Live and and a C03U Samson Usb Mic....
I got a nice CPU with a Quad Core and 8GB of RAM and still get latency issues in Windows 7... over a duration of about 4 min...
Once it starts, the latency just gets worse and worse..until you unplug the mic and plug it back in....Then all is fine for another 4 minutes or so and then the Latency builds back up....WTF is going on here???

hey!
I have a samson c03u. I want to record vocals with it but I can only do it when i click on the mic -10db. I think this is not normal ... when i switch to 0 all hight tones will deform. I tried to lower the input level but when you hit a hight note or something to loud it will deform ... Can you tell me what to do? Thank you in advance!
Bjorn
PS i use windows 7 and adobe audition
