Michael.
Just tryed 2.4 and the problem got worst.
Here is what I've found:
*Installed perfectly
*Tryed the off-line pannel, didn't showed up but showed onto
task manager
*Reboot, same thing
*Lunch Sonar, change driver for ASIO, restart Sonar, didn't work. Stop Sonar in task manager, erase AUD.ini
*Reboot, tryed Sonar again, still locking up
*Task manager, shutt down Sonar then uninstall 2.4
*Restart Sonar. . . Back to life!
To try to help, your 2.2 was working fine any other than the small stutering at the begining of mixed midi/audio file which was conducting in a timimng mismatch in between midi and audio plyback but I've never had Creative ASIO working either on my machine still coming back to me with device busy message.
I'm running XP sp2 on my Asus A7V8X-MX board running at 1.92gHz with 512megs/ram, two Maxtor 40gig on primary IDE and CDplayer and DVD RW on secondary IDE and an ATI9200 video and Audigy 2ZS using the digital coax port to my digital amp/receiver
Only 26 services are running on my machine almost everything is either turned off or 'as required' any other than Ethernet and essential MS services (Trying to give as much resources as I can to my Audio) and it work perfectly with WDM/KS.
The reason why I'm keep insisting in trying to have A4A running is that the smallest lettency setting I'm able to get which works fine with WDM is 20ms and I'de love to get the 2.5 everyone is talking about and I really like the idea of getting a real access to all of my ins and outs and it looks to me that yours are lot less demanding than WDM and all the other are
Hope this gone help. Continue your good work!
regards
