Hi Michael,
FYI, ASIO4all 2.6 is working great with Sonar. However, when I attempt to load the driver in Wavelab 5, I am unable to make changes in the panel and the application crashes.
I obtained the following error message via the event viewer:
Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Date: 5/23/2005 Time: 9:38:38 AM User: N/A Faulting application wavelab-app.exe, version 5.0.1.231, faulting module asio4all.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00107959.
I can use version 1.8 in Wavelab without any problems.
Thanks again,
Theo

Michael,
Updated to Wavelab 5.01b and so far version 2.6 is working OK. I also adjusted the output and input settings in Wavelab to left/right only (no surround sound in my setup).
However, I can only make changes in the ASIO buffer size setting within Wavelab one nudge at a time using the slider. If I try otherwise, that's when the crash occurs as listed in the previous post.
To be sure, I must shut down the panel and re-launch each time to make changes using the buffer slider. I also have to close the panel using the X in the upper right corner and not the exit. If I click on the exit, nothing happens.
Kind of weird,
Theo

Theo,
Provided there is a demo available AFA WaveLab, I shall investigate this frurther, but not exactly with "crisis" priority. This rather looks like an issue WaveLab appears to have with the (Steinberg defined mind you) "kAsioResetRequest" - message that is being sent each and every time you change the ASIO buffer size slider.
Maybe there are some reentrancy problems.
