I've been trying to use the In and Out setting with the ASIO4All drivers through fruity loops studio. I'm trying to record while I play back the track, but if I have both the In and Out running when FL is open I get terrible feedback static. Do I need a better soundcard, or is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Use Windows Mixer to set your sound card so as to not record its own output!

Windows mixer? The master volume? What would I need to do exactly to set this up? Thanks.

I have the same problem, even if I do that. The only way to stop the noise is to turn the mic input all the way down, but that makes it impossible to record. Any other ideas? I tried all the various options in ASIO4ALL and rebooted, reinstalled, tried different routing, etc. I can't figure it out.

@anon17: Can you several screenshots of your settings?
