This first problem has happened to me a few times now.
1) When I move the latency bar to the right on the control panel, I immediately get the BSOD, memory dump and then have to fore a shut down. I can't remember if this happens when I move it left as it is too much of a hassle to test at the moment.
2) This second problem has me stumped. It involves recording the StereoMix into Windows Live Messenger as a Voice Clip. I have it set up so that when I hit F2 it records what my PC is playing, as opposed to the mic. It just involves selecting the right inputs/outputs, etc.
Well after I use ASIO with (it seems) my MIDI keyboard and Behringer BCD2000, I can no longer record the StereoMix in WLM. It can't detect any audio so it doesn't create the voice clip.
I usually mix in 'Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)' as my projects often get too complicated for my computer to handle running in ASIO4All. When I switch to ASIO for some keyboard work I have to bring up the Control Panel, restore default settings, open my 'Playback Devcices', right-click on my second output, 'Realtek Digital Output', set that as 'Default Device', hit 'restore default settings' on the ASIO control panel, then right-click on 'Speakers (RHDA)' and set that as my default again. This is th eonly way I will get any sound from FL using ASIO.
I wonder if that issue is related to WLM not being able to hear my StereoMix?
I have tried many different audio configurations to fix it. Restarted my PC. Restarted, uninstalled/installed both programs, disbaled/enabled the audio device, updated drivers. It seems to get functionality back randomly.
I use Windoes 7, FL Studio 9.1, WLM 2009 (Build 14) and have a Realtek High Definition Audio card. Don't know the model.
