'Stuck' Device after Too Many Setting Changes

Greetings,

I've noticed that changing the settings too many times (most notably the sample rate) results in the whole thing becoming unavailable to the host software and only a reboot will fix it.

I am using Windows 7 (64 bit) and my audio devices include:
- Creative X-Fi Extreme Audio
- onboard sound - Realtek I think (Asus P6T7 motherboard)
- Lexicon Ionix U42S (USB 4-track)

Only when you change the samplerate or also other settings? I never change samplerate but never seen such behavior on my system with Ableton Live 8.x, Windows 7 x64 and Creative Extreme Gamer + Samson CO3U
