I don't know if this is anything new, but I discovered that it is possible to send input audio from Ableton's output into other programs via Stereo Mix, provided you run Ableton before the other programs. Like if I speak into my microphone with a delay effect in Ableton, others on Ventrilo can hear it as I do. However, I wouldn't be able to hear them when they speak.
I'm wondering, is it possible to have ASIO4all to drive the input but choose to use the default windows audio for the output? Since ASIO4all is for the input latency, doesn't it makes sense that there would probably be no other issues if it's only being applied half duplex? Forgive me if I'm ignorant.

I don't exactly know what you are trying to achieve but I think that what you want can be done with VAC. Virtual audio cable can be used to patch virtual out/inputs.
