Hello from Fairbanks, Alaska. I will be transferring vinyl to CD with my setup. ASUS N-series laptop with Windows 7/ Office2010 and Adobe Audition 3.0. Most of the records will be an LP & 45 collection from the 50s to the 80s and 78rpm records that date back to 1906. I am going from TAPE REC on a 1972 Pioneer SX1500TD to the laptop. The turntables are a Technics SL1100A for the modern stuff and a rebuilt Dual 1002F as a 78rpm player. I am currently using a 1920s Brunswick portable player for the pre1928 acoustic records. I am rebuilding a Columbia Grafanola D-2(I think) to use also. I will be going to the music store for help on external sound card and mic to use with the acoustic music. Just a brief test with a 10inch 1954 HMV/Electro of Edwin Fischer with London Philharmonic has surprised me. I am a newcomer to all of this technology so I will without a doubt be turning to this forum for help. Thank you
