Hello!
My problem is, that i have an Aureal Vortex2 soundcard (Assembled by Diamond), and none of the Asio4Alls works. Maybe my driver in incorrect (XP's integrated one), but everithing else sounds perfectly. Should I try any other way, to have ASIO driver for my sound card?
Thanx: LoopyLime

Do you have a WDM driver for your Aureal Vortex2?
If not, there is no chance :-(
If you open the ASIO4ALL control panel and the WDM device list is empty, you are probably out of luck...

The Windows Xp's integrated drivers are all WDM drivers, so this part is ok. I see the device in the Asio4All control panel, but the output is unavaible (as it sais), and no other program uses my soundcard when i try to use asio... (( Any idea?

If it's in the control panel and not "beyond logic" but merely "Unavailable" then there is hope. Do you see the "Unavailable" icon in the desktop (off-line) control panel already (with no other audio app open) or only if you open the control panel inside your audio application? Mike

I have similar problem with Vortex 2 + ASIO4ALL under Win2000. ASIO4ALL control panel shows my soundcard as running, but there's no sound (I've tried to get sound through ASIO interface in the Native Instruments Guitar Rig 1.2 and in the FruityLoops 4). I use unofficial Vortex2 drivers for Win2000, but WDM works with them -- Guitar FX Box works ok through WDM. Sorry for long and not helpful (for user) post. I hope the author of the ASIO4ALL may find this info useful.

Could you please send me screenshot of the fully expanded device tree in the ASIO4ALL control panel? ("Advanced" and then you can expand everything on the left side)?
Also, could you please check if the meters move in FLS when you play something (despite that there is no sound)?
Thanks,
-Mike
