Hi there,
I've been using ASIO4ALL with a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 USB2 audio interface for the past year. I've had success working in both Reaper and Reason until recently.
After a break from the DAWs, I opened up Reaper today to find that I am getting the "Beyond Logic" message. This also occurs when I try to use Reason. Signals are being outputted by the DAWs, but I'm getting no sound and none of my inputs are available.
I've ensured that no other software or process is using the interface. I've also reinstalled various versions of my DAW software. I've tried all of the suggested fixes in the ASIO control panel, from disabling my windows sound, to changing my audio interface drivers. I've tried all of the ASIO4ALL versions available on the main website - 2.11 Beta1, 2.10 and 2.09. I've tried as many Audio Interface drivers I can find available, as well as the vanilla drivers that came on the Scarlett's installation CD. For some reason, those vanilla drivers allow me to select "Scarlett USB" as my ASIO Driver, which resolves the problem in both DAWs, but means I'm stuck with extremely outdated drivers and no ASIO4ALL.
I tried the interface with ASIO4ALL on a laptop and it worked absolutely fine. I had absolutely no issues. I think I've ruled out the issue being with my DAWs or the interface itself.
I'm not even sure when this started happening. I've not made any major changes to my system in the past. I just attempted to open up my DAWs and I couldn't get anything out of them. My specs are as follows:
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120503-2030)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP xw9400 Workstation
Processor: Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2220 (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Hopefully someone can help me out?
Thank you.
