I'm using asio4all for some months, and that's a great piece of sw! At the moment most often we use it for playing the piano, so response time is very important. Now I'm using v2.2, with my asus a7n8x motherboard with the onboard audio (latest nForce driver) and the lowest setting I can use (only playback) is 64byte hardware buffer + 6 ms buffer offset. What I do not really understand, what does this means exactly, since 64 bytes is about 1ms, how can we offset it with 6ms? I played a lot with these settings, for example about 384sample+0ms buffer offset is also clickless (~8ms+0ms). Or one more similar combination: 256samples+2ms offset. So which one to choose? As I hear, the 64+0ms gives the best result, but it's not easy to really figure out the difference.
