Whilst looking for free video recording software, I came across NCH Software's Debut. I installed their sound driver in order to record sound in my videos. Big mistake. Shortly after uninstalling the program, I got a blue screen about stdriver64.sys (even after it had been uninstalled!) After I rebooted, I noticed that my ASIO4ALL did not work with my FL Studio 10 as it once had. The meters would still move, but no sound would play, forcing me to switch to DirectSound. Problem is, I require ASIO to record and master vocals into FL Studio. I'd try recording and mastering the vocals into Audacity, but the results usually come out horrible. Also, without ASIO working, some VSTs pop and click even though I have the buffer length at 36ms with a 30% offset. Very unpleasant, especially if trying to compose through headphones. I've reinstalled my driver software twice (going through an installer in Japanese, no less...my locale is set to Japanese in order to play doujin fighting games and use UTAU) and uninstalling/reinstalling ASIO4ALL at least three separate times. Regardless, its status with my Realtek High Definition Audio Driver remains "beyond logic". What do?
