Hi Michael (& all others),
Tnx for your asio-driverset. It works on my towercomputer without any problems with low latency. That's surely very nice..!
I my case, there is also a downside: When I installed the asio4all2.2-driver on my laptop (Asus a2500s; 3Ghz, 512mb, AC97-sound), the sound immidiately got crackeled and distorted. I tried all the settings in advance-mode to get a better sound but it didn't work out at all. Also, none of the read-buffer-changes I made counldn't make the laptop sound better.. Of course it is possible that not all soundscards work with the asio4all-driver, so at that time it didn't seem a problem to me...
After that I uninstalled the asio4all-driver and wanted to get the original sounddriver back, but nothing worked to sound the laptop any better.
Partitionwise, I am used to clone (i.e. disk-image) all of my computers just in cases of crah-related emergencies, so I put my most recent clone back on the laptop......, but you probably have guessed it: still the sound was crackeled and distorted..
Right now I don't know exactly what to do to make the sound better.., does anyone has a any idea or have had the same problem?
Thanks all,
Hanky.
