My system is as follows: Celeron 2.66 Ghz Win XP Home SP2 768 MB ram Realtek AC97 sound card Cubase SE I am totally unable to get audio to play back steadily and without bursts of white noise no matter what buffer size i use. Furthermore, Cubase gives me this error message: "Audio Engine System Error the parameter is incorrect" >:(repeatedly without any further explanation about which parameter it is. I am trying Cubase for the first time and I'd like to think I havent made a mischoice here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I forgot to mention, I am using ASIO4All v. 2.2. I notice that whether I'm using this driver or the full duplex driver of Stenberg's, audio is crappy in above specified way. Crappy is a technical term here in New Hampshire. ;D

With Realtek audio, you probably want to google for driver version 3.63, which is supposed to be the perfect fit with ASIO4ALL.
