I know some assembly/machine and C, would like to see a well commented Source code of this ASIO4ALL 2.4 driver for my own edification and perhaps a future addendum suggestion.
I am just re-installing my Audigy after returning the Emu 404 that stopped providing any output due to some crazy glitch in the card. I was amid DSP mixer changes when suddenly no sound ever came back out via analogue and spdif outputs.
I know the Audigy is old but it was better than the EMU 404 to me. I searched for ASIO for the Audigy and this site came up
Besides I upgraded to a Tascam US 122 using the full credit plus some more $ when I returned the E-MU 404
I plan to use this ASIO4ALL DRIVER for the Tascam as well, if it will work that is.
I am also running a Nforce2 MCP-T /Realtek ALC650 on the DFI board, it is rather robust. No issues ever!
I use Reason 2.5 soon to be 3.0 with Cubase SE and Pro Audio 9. I would like to get the Rewire to work with Pro Audio 9 as well but no luck yet. I specifically bought the Steinberg due to Propellerhead collaboration on early releases, figured it would be smoother. The EMU 404 was not able to communicate with Reason and Cubase, may have been a system failure since the card just quit on me. I am still looking forward to that smooth part.
I cant stand hacking a device that was supposed to work as released, that is to say when purchased from a computer store, assumed to be debugged. I hate being a guinnea pig to these gargantuan companies making a killing off of trash.
On the other hand if I know it is still experimental then I can begin with a test mode approach instead of wasting my time trying figure out if was me or the device.
There you go - Hello all
