Greetings!
This is my first post here and I'd like to share a discovery with you all.
Using ASIO4ALL's Reason (via rebirth) input function and an amazing tool called Virtual Audio Cable I have managed to route audio from Traktor into Reason.
To repeat this do the following:
Download and install ASIO4ALL (duh =P )
Download and install Virtual Audio Cable
In Traktor set your mixer type to '2 Decks External Mix' select the Virtual Audio Cable as your sound card.
Underneath sound card (in traktor) is Output routing, select this and change the mixer mode to External.
Be sure that out channel A has DS Virtual Cable 1, 1: and 2: selected. ( you could also send deck A to channel (1:) and B to channel (2:) )
Run Reason now and select the ASIO4ALL driver as your sound card.
Add the Rebirth input machine.
Now open your ASIO4ALL control panel, turn advanced view on and set your real sound cards output to on and the virtual cables input to on.
Playing the appropriate deck in Traktor should output the sound through Reason, WHOA!
Now your probably asking why on earth anyone would do this, so let me explain.
What I would like to do is this:
Route Deck A and Deck B in to Reason and use Reason mixing for the crossfading (I built an awesome and horribly complex mixer)
I would also like to use a mic at the same time going into Reason for effects (echo, vox etc).
Which leads me to this...
