Situation:
Soundblaster Live! Soundblaster Live 24
Installed Asio4all drivers
Both soundcards enabled in asio4all settings
Using Sony Vegas to record.
Selected Asio4all in Vegas settings
Problem:
I want to record using both soundcards at the same time, so i crate two tracks in vegas. i set both tracks to record. i select one soundcard on the first track - works just fine. i select the other soundcard on the second track - both channels show no signs of a signal. As long as i only select one soundcard at a time (even on two different tracks) everything is fine but as soon as I try to use both at a time, the signal aborts.
Is asio4all not capable of recording with multiple soundcards (cuz come on, even the windows classic wave driver can handle it)? I guess this has nothing to do with the soundcards itself, because they both work fine solo...

You may want to get a 4in/4out PCI such as EMU 0404. I was able to get dual input for time code in Virtual DJ but not dual output. I am going to try Identical cards next

Yes, asio4all is capable of wrapping a bunch of cards into one single asio driver. But all the cards must work with the driver.
At what samplerate/bit-resolution are you trying to record?
