A user of ours has noticed a strange problem using Asio4All 2.7 in FL Studio (either version 6 or 7). In certain conditions, there will be a latency between when a note is triggered (by the user) and when it plays. It seems like the audio buffer is larger than Asio4All reports it to be.
How to reproduce this: 1. load FL, choose Asio4All and set the buffer size to 1152 samples (most noticeable to me) 2. add an FPC instance 3. click one of the pads to trigger the sound, there will be a noticeable delay 4. go back to the Asio4All panel and move the slider up or down, and then back to 1152 5. trigger another note on FPC, there will be no more delay
I've tested this with a Creative X-Fi, the user has a Soundblaster PCI.

Frederic, This is something that could happen with ASIO4ALL 2.7 whenever the host stalls the audio thread for too long or something else in the system stalls all audio processing to the point where the output stream is interrupted already, yet not to the point where we run out of free buffers to capture new input, because this would lead to a internal audio reset ("Overload") in 2.7 already. Seer also here: mtippach.proboards40.com/index.cgi?board=likelynotabugbutthereisaproblem&action=display&thread=1147767374In the next release, the ASIO driver will reset internally, whenever audio has been stalled for to long. This improves things up to the point where you can call it a fix/workaround ;-)
