Anyone getting that BSOD?
I get it from time to time while loading FL studio or a project in it. And I'm trying to trace down the problem.
it is either ASIO4ALL of my soundcard drivers or both, dunno.
Anyone?

Anyone? _Any_ BSOD is always the fault of the soundcard driver/the OS/something else ... in _that_ order. ASIO4ALL is a user mode component - and as such incapable of causing (in the sense of being responsible for) kernel mode BugCheck()'s A.K.A BSOD's. It is always the hardware vendor who certainly wishes to learn about possibilities for improvement in their driver department for as long as they do not chose to give a rat's rear end.

ok thanks for the clarification...I'm just trying to trace down the culprit...but is a minor, it happens very sparsely.

Im getting that BSOD constantly.
Heres what i have going on. My laptop with its internal 1 output sound card. A USB surround sound card with 6 output channels, 3 ports for output on it. Its an AA1500GWC Sound card, and a cheap one at that.
Traktor 3 will not find the outputs on that sound card so i turned to ASIO4ALL. I had it working fine. When i set ASIO4ALL in Traktor it showed the 6 outputs for the USB card and i set it up and it worked 100% properly. I had to install this program to mount my linux partitions to bring my music over to vista and in the process had to restart my computer. I restarted and when i went to start traktor back up, i got an error that it wont start and in the error box it showed asio4all.dll as the culprit along with some character strings that i dont understand. I wish it would just tell me whats wrong, like linux, but thats asking too much from microsoft.
So i open up ASIO4ALL and disable the usb card. Traktor wont start. I open ASIO back up and try every single possible combination and nothing works. I get the BSOD when after traktor closes, i dont open up ASIO4ALL within the next 30 seconds. Its strange. Thats the only thing i can see causing it. If i dont open up ASIO4ALL right after traktor wont start, i get a BSOD with that BAD_POOL_CALLER at the top and it counts down and restarts my computer.
The only way i can even get traktor to start is to physically unplug my USB card and start it. Then it will start and i can use the ASIO driver for my onboard sound output.
I just cant figure this out. I had it working just fine so i know its possible. But nothing has changed and i cant up my arse there arete it.
Any advice from the programmers here? How can i get a more detailed debug report since shitty windows doesnt seem to write detailed logs anywhere?

I actually fixed it like 1 minute after posting. I went into the device manager and disabled the on board audio. Everything is working great now.
So if you're getting this error, try disabling onboard audio.

I cannot disable any of my devices, I use them all.
But I also suspect the BSOD in m machine was caused by the RAM modules not installed in the proper order.
I mean, I have 4gb Corsair RAM, and they are paired sticks...they were installed in the wro0ng order, not in pairs according to their serial numbers.
I reordered them and I think that solved it. But I still waiting to get that BSOD again.
I'm happy I'm not the only one getting that, I thought it was my system...will see...
thanks for posting man.

I'm not getting that bad_pool_caller error anymore (yet)
After reinstalling all sticks (prior alcohol cleaning) the problem seems to be gone.
