Hi folks, I hope someone can help me. I am a proud owner of a ION electric guitar. This uses a Alesis USB guitar link cable to play on native instruments guitar rig software via the laptop. This software uses ASIO4ALL.
On my XP machine it works fine. Play along with youtube guitar cource.
Now I got a new ACER laptop with Windows 8 and a Realtec High defenition audio card on board.
After installing, ( with some start up trouble with the setting for asio4all but for no reason at all suddeny it works!) the guitar sounds on the speakers.
Extra question: latency is not so good, playing with the buffers e.d. doesn't make it better. The problem couldn't be my processor: this is a I5.
The big problem is: when guitar rig is running: other sound from my computer are blocked: Starting a Youtube film resulted in error: MF_Media_Engine_Err_Decode_Hresult_0xc00d486.
When the youtube is running before starting guitar rig, it silences when the rig takes over.
Anyone a idea how to solve this: On line guitar courses are nicer when there is sound with it!
Thanks.
Imand enig idee hoe ik dit op kan lossen: on line gitaarcursussen zijn toch wel fijner al ik ook het geluid kan horen.....
