PS.
From memory... Asio4All 2.8 can't see my XP sound card drivers (beyond logic) and 2.7 can't see my Vista sound card drivers... But it's been a while since I experimented.

I gave it another try with vista waveRT and it worked!!! Now running quite smoothly with the ASIO buffer as low as 192. And quite stable at 256. THANK YOU very much Whether this is a result of some setting I have changed on my machine, or a Vista update, or some other accident in the way I reinstalled the vista drivers and v2.8 Beta 2 I don't know. But it does work. One thing I still had to do was set the default format of the sigmatel card properties to 24bit, 48KHz (Studio Quality).

Hi,
i also got the asio4all 2.8b2 on vista working with latencys down to 7ms. Is this the best latency there is out of the sigmatel chip?
The problem is the speakers output don't get available all the time. Normally they are unavailable, which sucks, because it's the only output there is on a Dell Inspiron 1720. I sometimes do get them available by shutting down (thru task manager) the sstray.exe proces, the sigmatel tray driver. But that doesn't work all the time. Anyone having a solution for this one?

Try to disable the MIDI device~ may be this can solve your proble. It's seems that, when the WDM driver is working, the ASIO can't make any sound~

This rather sounds like a feature request - as opposed to a problem report?

When I open FL Studio 8 and select the Asio4all on the list, I get no sound. I click show Asio Panel and it says that its working on input but not on output, it says unavailable. When I close FL Studio and click the asio4all panel offline settings, it says its available. I don't get it, why isn't it working?

Unavailable means just that and is due to one of the reasons listed in the manual. What does you FLS MIDI setup look like?
