I've disabled the wavetable synth from the sonar 8, but I am still getting the error and I don't see how to disable it from Windows If you read carefully then you see that it is a question. It does not say that it is enabled. It suggests that it could be a cause that there is no audio because it is in use and it could be that a wavetable synth is preventing asio4all from locking the audio port exclusively. Most often the cause if that you are having another application running that is using audio like Windows Media Player, a browser, MSN, Fraps, a weird audio enhancement application or a different daw. Keep in mind only ONE application that is using audio must be running for ASIO4ALL to get access to a specific audio device.

When you play your audio.. how is your processor load in the task manager?
If *any* core becomes higher then lets sat 60-70% then that is your problem. Either use an DAW application that makes better use of multi core processors or buy a better CPU.

CAn you share a screenshot of your settings of your whole screen?
Are you sure you don't have *any* application loaded (also in the tasktray) can could use audio although it is currently not using it?

People.. its your imagination.. ASIO4ALL also exclusively locks your audio with XP.
This is your ASIO4ALL can achieve its low latency without knowing your hardware details.
If you are not satisfied with this then go buy audio hardware that comes with decend ASIO drivers.

You are probably using SPDIF out and then only the receiver of that signal can adjust the volume.

I'm almost definitely sure that you cannot hear the difference between 96kHz or 48kHz. Depending on which source you are recording you probably won't hear the difference between 24 and 16 bits. Especially not on a on-board audio chipset.
So please STFU about stuff which you probably don't even technologically wise understand.
As the other matter regarding Audigy drivers. Please ask that question in a Creative or Audigy forum as this forum is about ASIO4ALL.

Browse the "what works" section. I have enlisted my DAW system configuration in one of the topics with lots of steps that can lower your latency.
If none of that work... buy better hardware.

First of all drop all the eyecandy on your DAW system. Theming and such uses low-level system hooks that make your system slughish and instable.
Second, you are talking about two different ASIO drivers. ASIO4ALL and the Behringer. Both cannot be used simultaniously within FLStudio. You probably have a USB microphone.
Just use ASIO4ALL and before you start FLStudio make sure that no audio application is active at all! No browsers, no winamp, no foobar, no msn, no skype, etc. Just quit all applications and then launch FLStudio.
ASIO4ALL requires exclusive access to your audio chipset.
Please do this and then report your result.

I dont know but you could find more information regarding system changes. Just go to recovery and select system restore. WHen you select a certain restore point windows will show you what system changes will be rolled back first without actually restoring to that date.

It only works with applications that support ASIO. Select ASIO in the application and then select the ASIO4ALL driver in the ASIO configuration of that appplication. Then you will get a ASIO4ALL icon in the lower right trayicon which you can click to configure its settings. Usually the application also has a configure button that you can click that will result in the same dialog.

Strange that is does not store the settings. Should just work on XP. Settings are stored in the registry so maybe its a security related issue. Are you running as administrator? If not then you could try do that and see if that works because as an administrator you should have no problem writing anywere in the registry under XP.

Dont you have any glitches even after one hour? By the way.. if you do not need the resampling then just disabled it.
Find out the native sampling rate of your audiochip and use that in your DAW.
The realtek chip is AFAIK 48kHz so I configured Ableton to use 48kHz.

Not completely understanding your problem but do the following:
1. Install the latest realtek drivers from their website. 2. Configure your audio as 5.1 or 7.1 3. Open traktor 4. Open its audio configuration 5. Select ASIO4ALL 6. In the ASIO4ALL settings (icontray) it should have used the realtek out and if not set it to use it. 7. In traktor audio select the channels you want to use (1/2 and 3/4 I guess)
This should work. Now you can attach your speakers to front left/right and your headphone to either front center or rear left/right.
