Go to Windows advanced system properties and make sure you have set processort scheduling to: Background services and NOT to Programs.
Also, set visual effects to: "Adjust for best performance" instead of the default "Let windows choose what's best for my computer".

Which host application are you using? Are you just running ONE audio application and not several?
Do you have Winamp, Foobar or another audio player working in ASIO or exclusive audio mode?
Do you have a MIDI out device (software synth) enabled in your DAW?

It is quite easy to see. Each application that uses ASIO4ALL will have a seperate icon in the lowerright icontray.
By the way.. other applications could also exclusively lock your audio hardware.

Describe your system and describe exactly what you did in your configuration. Screenshots would help to.

Well it seems that you have selected the incorrect ASIO driver. Select ASIO4ALL as the ASIO host and not the DirectX version.

Well it remembers my configuration just fine.
Just make sure that you set the configuration as you wish and then just restart the application as it is well then save it.

ASIO4ALL does not do that automatically but it can synchronize them. That is where the latency compensation slides are for which you can see/set when you click the advanced settings wrench.

Ciro.. read the "What works" section for tips in regards to achieve lower latencies.
Tune everything!
Just take a look at my post titled "Ableton Live + ASIO4ALL + Windows 7 = love". It is full with tips.
On my new system I have better (lower) latencies with my onboard realtek hd audio then with my creative xtreme gamer that has ASIO drivers.
So just test which setup gives you the lowest latencies.
Just a few quick tips: * run as less applications as you can (including NO virusscanner, NO instant messaging crap, NO twitter stuff, etc.) * disable as much system services as possible * disable theming * install the latest drivers that you can get from the manufacturers website (so not from windows update)

You probably need something like virtual audio cables (VAC) but I do not know if this works in combination with ASIO4ALL or ASIO at all.
If it works, then you are able to route the Winamp ASIO out to a ASIO in for any other application.
I know that that specific scenario works without ASIO but I never tried it in combination with ASIO(4ALL).

That is correct behavior.
Only one application can use ASIO4ALL at a time. Read the FAQ.
In order to achieve low latency ASIO4ALL gets exclusive access to the audio channels that you select in its configuration.

First of all, ASIO4ALL is free and can be downloaded from www.asio4all.comSecond, for what do you want to use asio4all? Which application are you using and when do you experience audio latency?

I really don't know what your problem is. If you think that ASIO4ALL is a midi software synth then you are wrong or are misinformed.

FLStudio has an option to auto release the ASIO driver when it looses focus.
Make sure that is NOT selected. Only problem you will then have is that you will not have audio in applications that have focus.

That works on my system right out of the box.
Just enable your "What you are listening to" or "mix" recording channel in Vista or Windows 7 and select that in Skype are its input.
When you now have output in your DAW via ASIO it gets available on that channel and the skype receiver will hear it.
The only problem is that you cannot hear the other side as that output is locked by ASIO4ALL. So either use a different audio card or different output that is not locked.

I have the audio2dj soundcard from Native Instruments...but often its stagnate for 1-2 seconds...What is the perfect setting to have clear and steady Sound ?? That very much depends on the kind of hardware you are using. Faster hardware (CPU and memory) in combination with a good soundcards usually means lower latency but only if your system is also tuned. Just browse the "What works" section to read tips to get your system, DAW and ASIO4ALL tuned.
