hi, i am updating to a laptop so need a usb soundcard with asio support, just wondering if asio4all would work with any cheap usb soundcards such as sound blaster live 24bit.
maybe this thread could be usefull for list of compatible usb sound cards.

1.) I'm making this sticky for now.
2.) In addition to what others already reported, I personally have successfully tested the following USB audio interfaces with ASIO4ALL 2.6:
Creative MP3+ M-Audio Mobile Pre Audiotrak Maya 5.1, Maya 7.1, Maya 44 ESI U24 Edirol PCR-1 (though I would not recommend this for audio as the audio quality of the PCR-1 is nowhere near the advertized specs of 24Bits/96kHz. Sounds more like 12Bits or so.)

Please advise if the ESI NeON keyboard/ audio interface is compatible with ASIO4All driver. I'm using the old version of ASIO4ALL (sorry forgot the version number, probably 1.*) and it was fine with Sound Blaster Digital Music USB card (equivalent to Creative MP3+). Using the same driver for ESI NeON, it's okay for running synth apps like Reason 3.0 and audio files playback, but seems to produce nasty crackling noise for recording audio in Nuendo 2.0. Audio/ MIDI playback seems unaffected in the same instance, BTW, only the recording. I switched to the ESI factory driver and things gone normal. I will try newer version later. Please advise if the ESI NeON keyboard/ audio interface is compatible with ASIO4All driver. It is, but for decent recording results you have to use version 2.6. The recording performance of 1.x is a bit on the unstable end. This has improved a lot since. My guess would be that you will not see much of a difference between the factory driver and ASiO4ALL 2.6.

Okay, I've d/l the version 2.6, installed perfectly on my system ;D Your guess is confirmed, same latency (11ms). With ver 1.8 I can get as far as 4 ms, but not suitable for audio recording. Is this means ESI NeON is not capable of lower latency setting by hardware default? Thanks 4All ! Cheppy

With Hercules Muse Pocket USB Sound card, the input channels are denoted Unavailable.
There no other application using it.
I didn't succeed in using ASIO4ALL with this card yet.
Any suggestion is welcome !
