Well, pardon my french, but what it comes down to is that it worked all the time, but unfortunately you were unable to notice because you were not _listening _to your SPDIF. For the very same reason (you refuse to listen to your SPDIF) your SPDIF will be getting a divorce (because you never listen to it). How do you divorce your SPDIF? Just disable the SPDIF out in the ASIO4ALL control panel. As far as divorces, this one is actually pretty light on your resources.

Very enlightening indeed! Since the SPDIF output is listed before the speaker output, it would connect to ASIO output channels 0 and 1, whereas the speaker out would be visible as ASIO channels 2 and 3, respectively. If you want to _hear_ any sound, there is a multitude of options: 1.) Connect something that can play sound and that has a digital input to the SPDIF (just kidding) 2.) Disable the SPDIF out in the ASIO4ALL control panel 3.) In the Fruity Mixer, chose the proper output channel as it would default to using the SPDIF Option 2 is to be preferred, since disabling unused stuff frees up resources and freeing up resources never hurts. I love you. Thank you Asio team. Hey everybody, I'm making music. IN VISTA.

If you open the ASIO4ALL control panel from within Cubase, go to "advanced" and expand the WDM device list, what does it look like? There is quite a bit of information contained in here that might be helpful in diagnosing the problem! Please do also keep in mind that the "Off-line Settings" Dialog is mainly there for users of Winamp + ASIO plugin or FB2K w/ ASIO and so on - apps that do not provide any way to access the ASIO control panel themselfs. For setting up stuff with Cubase, you have to disable the SPDIF output from within Cubase. This is explained in the manual which unfortunately is not yet available in French.

hi, sample value of ASIO Buffer Size and Latency Compensation can't be changed. Windows2000 Professional(SP4)+SB Live! What exactly doe s"can't be changed" mean? There is no way these sliders can be blocked (i.e. disabled) under _any_ circumstances. Thus, I would rather guess that you think that changes you make are not being saved. Unfortunately, that's just a guess! Could you possibly provide some additional information? Thanks!

When i select ASIO4ALL from drivers list --->Blue Screen. Im trying with REASON, RENOISE and other software. The same for all. There's two things you can do: 1.) Let Creative know! They have a Beat feedback thingy set up where you are supposed to enter your problems with their Vista drivers. Reason being, that it is impossible for ASIO4ALL in user mode to cause a BSOD - if not because of a bug in the WDM driver! 2.) There may be a way around this, but this requires some investigation: - Download and install this: www.asio4all.com/28B2_DEBUG.EXE
- Then download this: www.asio4all.com/RUNME.EXE and put it into your "Documents" folder.
- Run "RUNME.EXE" from within your "Documents" folder.
- Screen should turn blue, as usual.
- After a reboot, there should be a file named "RUNME.dbg" in your "Documents" folder. This file hopefully contains all the information necessary to diagnose the problem.
- Send me this file or post it in here.

I came back to sample value 16 before a change after having changed a sample value of Latency Compensation into 32 from 16 in ASIO4ALL control panel when I finished panel in exit once and opened again. ASIO Buffer Size changed a sample value into 256 from 512 equally, too, but returns to 512. I confirmed that the sample value which I changed it of to registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ASIO4ALL v2 by Wuschel\Defaults\12F72ED2" was written in. Because value 16 before a change was displayed in ASIO4ALL control panel, will you be different in the place that place and panel storing a value refer to? tool-ya.ddo.jp/webfs/~enigma/4all.jpg

Interface is RTAUDIO! +Live!2K SpdifOut [9C00] This is gross! In as far as that it most likely is not true and that they (CT) forgot to clean up their .inf files before releasing drivers that they nowadays are allowed to "self sign". "Self signing" is the equivalent of someone saying: "My driver is kosher because I f***ing say so!" O.k. so they claim they have a miniport that is WaveRT, and at the same time it is not. And the name of this miracle is: ctaud2k.sys -> How else would you call a miracle mind you! I have created a workaround for which I just hope it works. I will simply throw away pins and or device interfaces that appear to have severe identity issues. Get it from here: www.asio4all.com/ASIO4ALL_2_8_Beta_2_English.exeShould that work for you, you shall be the first person to have tested the official (but unannounced) 2.8 Beta 2 ;-) ...and you still want to let CT know where exactly they ... hmm... "have an opportunity for improvement!"

First of all, thanks a lot!!! I tested this release and I got the same Blue Screen!!! with this message: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL The error only occurs when i select ASIO4ALL driver from the drivers list of any Software, if i exec Off-line settings seems this work ok. The Creative ASIO works fine. Provably its not an error from ASIO4all, maybe from Creative Drivers. Im going to try today if i can, remove X-fi from the computer and install the sound from Motherboard. If i can help more you can add-me to messenger or chat in IRC for speak about the problem and try to solve. My msn jeruro@hotmail.com Jeruro.

(First, I am Japanese and I dont have good command of English.)
My favorite sequencer was unstable, but after I installed ASIO4ALL 2.8 beta it become really stable. Thank you !
By the way, settings of ASIO4ALL is not saved. I changed setting however, it return to default after I closed setting window. (I pull down the buffer size and turned off 44.1 <> 48 resampling option) Is this a bug or not?
