Hi, Have installed 2.8 beta 2 on a Del latitide with a Tascam sub interface. I need to access the out channel of the inboard codec (SigmaTel) however it is falled as unavailable in your setup dialog box. Do i need to uninstall and install 2.7?
Thanks

Can you please test this? At least, it shouldn't crash at the same spot. It looks like AD dropping support for the WaveRT position register as soon as you try 96k sampling frequency. One wonders, why... And, BTW, thank you for the detailed bug report! Wish they all were as informative as yours! With this new version I cannot make ASIO to work at all. No device is in running state. I tried everything but no success :-( OK, I finally made this RC1 to work. Currently, it does not crash but plays only when source file is 44.1 kHz. If I try to play 96kHz 24 bit, there is no sound. It is possible that my sound card driver do not support this sampling rate? I mailed with them and they said that this is supported... Thank you Michal

Hi. At first, thanks for this wonderfull driver, it make posible that i can use a lot of only ASIO softwares. But i have a cuestion. I have SoundMax sound card. The latency wiht the driver is very little but i cant use all the channels at same time. i have 5.1 sound system and with the WDM drivers i can use all 5.1 on two channels, but no with the ASIO driver, (where the channels are independents). its posible to configure the driver at 2 channels only in 5.1 mode? (like the AXASIO driver (but it have a loootttt of latency) ) Thanks.

Problem.
I used to work with both, the inbluilt laptop Conexant card and a Behringer UCA200 (it is shown as USB Audio codec)...they works fine with 2.7 but the UCA200 fails to work properly with 2.8
Both cards are shown in A4A but the UCA200 sounds terrible, like if had some kind of loFi noise, sounds like 8bit or worse...can't really describe it other than the audio is quieter and full of aliasing.
Tried back 2.7 and they works fine again..I could keep using 2.7 but I'm aware of the "high latency over time" bug so i would really like to work with 2.8
Hope I can help you on something, so just ask.
All this at 44.1khz 16bit

I have a Dell XPS laptop running Vista with a Sigmatel HD Audio card. I installed ASIO4ALL v2.8 and the output is found and working. The inputs are replaced with MuxedIn1 and -2, and whatever they are, they do not contain the sound of the microphone. This is the first time I test this, I cannot tell if this is a new or old bug. I hope this can be fixed asap as this is my development system and I cannot test my (ASIO) software Thanks for your excellent software!

The inputs are replaced with MuxedIn1 and -2, and whatever they are, they do not contain the sound of the microphone. You can select the inputs you wish to use in the ASIO4ALL control panel -> "Advanced" mode and then expand the Sigmatel HD Audio Device tree to the left. Also disable anything you're not going to use, whilst at it.

How do I do that? There's MuxedIn1 and -2 only. If I expand these all that appears is In: 2*48kHz, 24Bits. Both are green btw. There is no mention of the built-in Mic array, or the mic/line input. And both remain silent if I test them. Both inputs work if I do not use ASIO.
PS: is there a way to subscribe to a thread in this forum?

Hi everybody, it seems there is a lot of work in progress in version 2.8.
Here is my experience: Laptop: Dell Latitude Sound card: Intel High Definition Driver: Sigmatel High Definition ASIO4ALL version: 2.8 (and then tried 2.7 with the same behavior)
ASIO4ALL control panel (offline) shows "unavailable" in the output of my sound card, while the input seems to work (according to the control panel). I do not have ASIO4ALL listed in any application.
After clicking randomly on the control panel (the last click on the "always resample etc."), it showed for a while the "running" icon in the output: I tried some application, but it reverted to unavailable (this time, both input and output).
Also the Microsoft driver disappeared from application choices.

Hellow, I have a vista ultimate 64bit pc with a X-FI elite pro. Unfortunately, with the beta drivers I only get "beyond logic" on this sound card. They work fine under windows xp 64bit. I like to use the asio drivers instead of the shipped asio drivers because they only work good on 10ms, asio4all works also good on 1ms all the other asio4all versions also don''t work on vista correctly, the last 2.8 stable shows out as beyond logic and the rest as running... weird
