Michael,
Is there any benefit in using version 2.8 with Windows XP, or all the updates Vista specific?
Thanks,
Theo

Hi Theo,
Knowing where you are coming from (SDR), the doctrine should be: If it ain't broken... ;-)

this is something interesting i found ..... there r 3 drivers in fl studio audio panel 1. conexant int speaker output 2. conexant spdif 3. asio4all
when i m selecting either of first 2 .... on windows mixer i m getting dedicated fl studio volume control, and i m able to here all sounds.
but when i m selecting asio4all i m not getting dedicated fl studio volume control, and seems everything is functioning in fl studio, if i ll play a note VU meter will show activity, CPU meter ll show activity, but i m not getting any sound out.
asio4all control panel seems normal .... all channels in green ... running

I have the exact same problem. The panel shows the devices now which is great news! However, no sound. I hope this bug is fixed soon, or there is something really dumb that we forgot to do like click something. Aside from this, thanks for giving an update in pretty good time. Hopefully I can start making music on vista soon.

2. conexant spdif ... asio4all control panel seems normal .... all channels in green ... running Could it possibly be that the output works, but that the first channel pair is mapped to the SPDIF output or so and thus you hear nothing on the analog out (unless you change the setup accordingly) Could either of you post a screen shot of the ASIO4ALL control panel as it looks when launched from within you audio app, in "Advanced" mode, with the Conexant HD Audio tree fully expanded? Thanks, Mike

Very enlightening indeed! Since the SPDIF output is listed before the speaker output, it would connect to ASIO output channels 0 and 1, whereas the speaker out would be visible as ASIO channels 2 and 3, respectively. If you want to _hear_ any sound, there is a multitude of options: 1.) Connect something that can play sound and that has a digital input to the SPDIF (just kidding) 2.) Disable the SPDIF out in the ASIO4ALL control panel 3.) In the Fruity Mixer, chose the proper output channel as it would default to using the SPDIF Option 2 is to be preferred, since disabling unused stuff frees up resources and freeing up resources never hurts.
